Pink with a Purpose! Supporting the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation

For several years now, the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF) – BC/Yukon region has been our corporation donation partner of choice. The CBCF’s main vision is to create a future without breast cancer, when breast cancer is a manageable and easily treatable disease. Funds that the CBCF raises go towards relevant and innovative breast cancer research, meaningful education and awareness programs, early diagnosis and effective treatments, and a positive quality of life for those living with breast cancer.

Recently, we marked a huge milestone in our partnership; UWT has donated over $20,000 to the foundation! We honored this milestone with a pink themed celebration in our office, which was attended by the CBCF. The celebration included the presentation of a giant check to the CBCF:

This year, we are also participating in the CBCF’s Run for the Cure, taking place on September 30, 2012. The race starts at Concord Pacific Place in Vancouver, BC and our 11 member team is training hard to get a great team time for the 5km run. We are hoping our practice and results from April’s Vancouver Sun Run serve us well for for the big day!
