UWT is campaigning to be Champions for the Cause!!! Our Get Pink’d campaign kicked off last week. This is our 3rd fundraising initiative for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation – BC/Yukon Region; along with ongoing quarterly corporate donation campaign and our annual participation as team UWT – Running the Road Ahead in the CBCF’s Run for the Cure, this means we are now Champions for the Cause!
Champions for the Cause is an umbrella program designed to recognize the corporate partners of the CBCF that truly are ambassadors for the cause. The program provides fun and easy ways for employees to work together and help create a future without breast cancer.
Get Pink’d is a national fundraising event; friends, colleagues and school groups participate in the event by buying buttons and wearing them along with pink or casual clothing to the office, school, or anywhere to show support for the CBCF.
The official Get Pink’d day is on Thursday, March 7, 2013 – UWT staff will be sporting their buttons and wearing pink on that day; button purchases and penny donations are already rolling in! Visit UWT’s Get Pink’d Page to track our progress!!
On March 7th, along with our Get Pink’d celebration, the CBCF will be at our office to take a video showcasing UWT’s involvement with CBCF. We are all looking forward to another successful event and excited to be an active part of creating a future without breast cancer!
