Only 3 days until Team UWT Running the Road Ahead participates in the 2013 Vancouver Sun Run! Our 17(!!!) runners have been busy preparing for their shoes to hit the streets. A few weeks ago, we discussed what to eat before and after running. Read up on that post here.

So with 3 days to go, we are all feeling great and excited to complete the race, and carry on our team running tradition by sporting our company blue shirts. As the race is and will continue to be a positive experience that marks the start of spring for many Vancouverites, the presence of blue and yellow in the crowd this year will also give respect to the Boston Marathon race, where a bombing this year killed three people and injured more than 170 runners and spectators. More than 45,000 runners and walkers have registered for the Vancouver Sun Run. With a few more days to go, there may be 50,000 people running and walking. This is the largest road race in Canada and we will be sending a powerful message by painting the scenic route blue and yellow.
